Stuttering Appreciation Day?!

Society tells us stuttering is a bad, ugly thing. Well, it’s not! Stuttering is just something we do caused by higher levels of dopamine in the brain. That’s it. We suffer social punishment because of that?

Let’s spend 1 day seeing our stuttering in a good light. Stuttering is a great social filter. Stuttering is also seen as an attractive quality. Stuttering makes us better listeners, cool people with character and awesome courage.

Stuttering is beautiful

On Stuttering Appreciation Day, take a moment to write your positive thoughts on stuttering. Be honest, I know you’ve had some good moments. If you have a blog, write a post about and share your link.

Stuttering Appreciation Day 2009 is on Friday, November 13th because Friday the 13th is a good day for stutterers.

More information on how you can participate will be posted in September. Check back or subscribe to the rss feed.
